#ShutUp4RanaPlaza

#ShutUp4RanaPlaza describes the global campaign to stop Western based nations outside of Bangladesh using the trauma of garment workers to collect money, Without involving the workers themselves.

We are proud to announce our founder & CEO Yasmin Choudhury, has in her own personal capacity, successfully filed a class action legal lawsuit in Bangladesh. On behalf of Rana Plaza victims.  Against organisations, charities and campaigners who have hurt the poorest in the fashion supply chain. These include Awaj Foundation (Dhaka, Bangladesh), Fashion Revolution (UK) and FairWear Foundation (Netherlands).

Because we possess evidence that they undertook charitable activity from which they benefited financially and non-financially – without ever involving the victims or obtaining a mandate. Worst of all – on the 10th anniversary none of them were to be found commemorating the deaths of the biggest tragedy in the fashion sector.

And they now want answers. As well as all the money raised, returned,  As well as claiming significant damages for personal injury due the the stress and pain caused by the unethical actions of those with power, privilege and platform. Who instead chose to trample over the Rana Plaza victims. .

We need every to fight this good fight. Please donate to our Crowdfunder here

HOW HAVE WE HELPED THE RANA PLAZA VICTIMS?

This page is dedicated to all the Rana Plaza victims and survivors, some of whom Yasmin met in 2019.

We have created a campaign since 2019 to help raise funds for victims as well as during the pandemic.

We have paid out tuition fees, medical bills, supplies, wellness breaks and much more.

It is our mission to raise £11.36 million to remember the 1,136 people who died in one of the world biggest industrial tragedies in the garment industry.

This is extremely important to us and we want to share it with all of you.

We want you to also meet some of the survivors through the travels, that I as founder & CEO undertook to Bangladesh.

Below are some videos to meet some of the most inspiring, humble and brave people you will ever meet.

Thanks, Yasmin x
